This policy explains what warranty cover applies to products bought from Omini, how to make a claim, and what a warranty does not cover.

1. What cover applies

Warranty cover depends on the product and its manufacturer. Where a product carries a warranty, the terms are stated on the product page or in the manufacturer's documentation supplied with it. Your statutory rights in respect of defective goods apply regardless of any warranty.

Product terms come first

Where a product page states warranty terms specific to that product - a different period, a brand service arrangement, or no warranty at all - those terms govern for that product and override the general position on this page. Check the product page before you buy.

2. Warranty is not the same as a return

They cover different things and have different timelines:

ReturnWarranty
WhenShortly after delivery.During the warranty period, which is usually much longer.
For whatThe item arrived wrong, damaged, incomplete or not as described.The item worked, and then developed a fault covered by the warranty.
OutcomeReplacement or refund.Repair, or replacement where repair is not possible, under the warranty terms.

If an item is faulty on arrival, treat it as a return - see the Return & Replacement Policy.

3. What a warranty does not cover

Warranty cover - whether the manufacturer's or ours - does not normally extend to:

  • physical damage: drops, impacts, crushing, breakage, cracked screens or bent parts;
  • liquid damage, corrosion, or exposure to moisture beyond the product's rating;
  • accidental damage, misuse, or use outside the manufacturer's stated conditions, including washing or care against the product's care instructions;
  • for electrical products, damage from an incompatible charger, adapter or accessory, or from an unstable power supply;
  • normal wear and tear: cosmetic marks, scratches, fading, and the gradual decline that batteries and consumable parts show with use;
  • unauthorised repair, opening or modification, or a removed or altered serial number;
  • for devices, software, data loss, or issues caused by third-party software or firmware;
  • theft, loss, or damage caused by a natural event.

An item sent for a warranty claim that turns out not to be covered is returned to you, and we explain the assessment.

Your statutory rights are separate

A commercial warranty is in addition to, and never a replacement for, the rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and other applicable law in respect of goods that are defective or not as described. 99 MULTIPLE SOLUTIONS does not ask you to give up those rights, and an expired warranty does not extinguish them.
