Bypass secateurs cut like scissors, with one blade passing the other, which makes a clean cut on live stems and helps the plant close the wound. This pair has a hardened carbon steel blade with a non-stick coating, a sap groove on the lower jaw, and a coil spring that reopens the blades after each cut.
